Biography

ZN production presents, in association with Le Bruit Qui Pense :

MYSTICALLY is two voices, two imprints for one and the same vibration... The very essence of their music: feminine vocal harmonies in the service of Roots Reggae with Afro-Caribbean sounds mixed with Soul and World influences.

It's also the story of two female singers, both backing singers when they first met, who decided in 2007 to form their own group. The alchemy took hold immediately.... and has been going strong for nearly 15 years!
Complementary in every way, Marie-Lou writes and composes the songs, while Adeline polishes the backing vocals. MYSTICALLY is dedicated to producing compositions that draw on their Congolese and Caribbean roots. The lyrics are conscious, sometimes intimate, and deal with subjects as strong as they are universal: faith and spirituality, the need for unity between peoples, maternal love, the aberrations and inequalities of the system, the transcendental power of music, Mother Earth Africa and her heritage...

The duo builds stone by stone the edifice that seals their unique musical complicity.
Five years after their first album Ladie’s Words, the duo released in 2020 Iration, a 2nd opus skillfully produced and arranged that shows once again the extent of the multiple facets of this atypical formation that takes on yet another dimension live.

Because MYSTICALLY is also a strong stage experience, a contagious energy carried by musicians (Tom Moretti, Victor Pierrel, John Sigwalt, Mathis Bouveret-Akengin and Alex Fauconnet) with Afro-jazz influences who each bring a touch of authenticity and warmth, making each concert a moment of intense sharing... definitely soul reggae!
